An app to improve android battery life: Toggle Track android app.

We all know GPS is turned on when using apps like Uber, Ola ,Lyft, Google Maps, etc.
But did you know there's something called as WiFi Scanning on your android devices?
Yes, that's right its hidden in WiFi settings in older devices. While on newer android versions its in location settings.
Let's see what this WiFi scanning is. When apps use GPS they turn on WiFi scanning to scan for nearby WiFi to get a more accurate location. That's how Maps, Uber, etc are able to get accurate locations. But sadly when you exit the app, they do not switch OFF the GPS and WiFi scanning. Although few may notice GPS being on, and toggle it OFF, there's a catch here. This only switches OFF the GPS and not WiFi scanning. Your status bar toggle icon can tell you about GPS state. Worst part is there's no toggle or app to indicate if WiFi scanning is on.
Scanning options

Imagine the whole day, our phone is scanning for WiFi networks without your notice. That's a decrease on the battery life, isn't it. Yes, its a serious issue, if you have a old phone with less battery capacity.

Now here comes Toggle Track, which helps you save battery life by notifying the user if GPS or WiFi scanning of left on. And best part is it does it right. It has clean interface being in its initial stages. It has cool additions like, Pie Charts for duration of ON and number of times GPS/WiFi scanning was ON. Although there's room for improvement. It does the job, and never misses.

Google X?Is It Really the special one from google?

What is Google X?Do we other phone by google than the current nexus series?

As we know nexus is a blend of both google itself and the OEMs.But wait doesnt this mean its not by google only.Well thats the disadvantage. In the late december wall street journal reported a google device named X phone to be coming up lately.
The X phone is the phone that most iphone fan boys are awaiting for,the phone that may make people leave Apple. Since acquiring Motorola Mobility,Google might be planning a X phone with its own hardware and of coarse its own AIR updates.
Meanwhile ,in a recent earnings call this week ,Google's CEO Larry Page outlined a range of features he'd like to see in the upcoming google phones. He says "Battery life is a huge issue. You shouldn't have to worry about constantly recharging your phone. When you drop your phone, it shouldn't go splat. Everything should be a ton faster and easier. There’s real potential to invent new and better experiences",as reported by The Verge.
These words from Larry Page gives a slight belief for this rumored device. While recently it is estimated that Apple and iphones rule 51% of US market,Android still rules the worldwide market share.

'Temple Run 2' launching on iPhone and iPad tonight

Temple run launching on ipad and Iphones tonight. As confirmed by touch arcade temple run 2 is already available on New Zealand store will hit the stores worldwide tonight . Sadly it's not yet available on Android devices while it's a big loss for the enthusiastic android fans .
What's the major difference:
All fans don't expect him to fly or shoot or growl cause that's just not there (sadly).
It seems finally the guy in the game seem to have finally some how managed to enter the castle that we see in the story of jack and the bean stalk. No wonder he's being chased by the giant in the similar to the story but here the giant looks kind of out of our imagination(Looks more like the black thing in temple run).Though its good to see him run on over the sky. I wish he'd the ability to run through clouds also.
New features:
This includes the long tutorial which is about 3-4 minutes.
It also has the different type of resurrection through save me before he dies.
The new game features a new kind of power magnet (just a different animation)
Rest all is pretty much the same thing. .!!

BlackBerry 10!!! A Threat??

Recently BlackBerry announced their new version BB10. Is this the new weapon against other platforms out there? Does it stand a chance to win especially with android in the top?
We'll concentrate here on 3 main aspects,
1.The current status
2.Compatibility and support
3.Reach for consumers
1. BlackBerry now has very less consumers in its hand. Based on the analysis 1 out of 10 users have blackberry running their day. While android having 6 phones, with 2 Iphones and 1 windows phone. With this low amount of share also it sure does stand a chance to stand up against others. But these chances are restricted to the 2nd and 3rd aspects.
2. As we see previous blackberry versions don't support many applications to be able to run on the platform. The app store has less apps as compared to other os. Though recently there were 150000 apps being developed for the os in 2 days. This still is not a major support. With androids users increasing and Iphones selling out. BlackBerry has a very chance in the market for its less app availability even against windows. Now with lumia 920 releasing the market will be shifted slightly towards the new Nokia+Windows flagship which has already made quite a hype. On the other side we have Androids v5 coming with lot of expectations and also Galaxy S4. With the hype of Iphone 6 (5S) being rumored BlackBerry's new os doesn't have a chance even with its intuitive ui.
3.The moment someone says blackberry the fist thing that strikes the mind of people is business. Yes blackberry is only targeted for business minded people for their secure usage. This narrows down it's chances even more.
There are 3 of the new open source os coming up this year.
The new Ubuntu, firefox, tizen.
With all these, the competition for the best consumer product and os becomes even more challenging.
